Torn between the VLF Strada and the Vida VX2? Both sit close in price. Both are real, current options. But they suit very different buyers. This isn’t a spec sheet. It’s a real decision guide.
The Core Trade-Off
This choice comes down to one thing. Do you want proven, or do you want new?
Vida VX2 comes from Hero, a brand with decades of two-wheeler history in India. It’s simple, established, and backed by a wide service network already built out.
VLF Strada is a genuinely new name here. Italian heritage, made in China, sold through Kolhapur-based MotoHaus. It brings more range and bigger tyres. But it’s unproven on Indian roads, with no long track record yet.

Pick The Vida VX2 If…
You want the safer, lower-risk choice. Hero’s brand history and service reach count for a lot, especially if something goes wrong two years from now.
You want more color choices. The VX2 comes in 8 colors. The Strada, at launch, offers none of that variety.
You’re buying your first electric scooter. A known brand name means less to worry about, and likely easier resale down the line too.
Lower upfront cost matters more than range. At ₹1,09,990, the VX2 undercuts the Strada’s City variant price.
Pick The VLF Strada If…
Range matters more than brand history. The Strada Max claims up to 250 km, far ahead of the VX2’s 93 km. Even the base City variant claims 130 km.
You want a swappable battery. The Strada supports this. It’s a genuine convenience if home charging isn’t always possible for you.
You like the idea of bigger tyres. A 16-inch front and 14-inch rear setup is unusual in this segment, where most scooters stick to 10-14 inches. Larger tyres generally mean a more stable, planted ride, though how this plays out in daily use is still new ground for this exact scooter.
You’re comfortable being an early adopter. New brands can bring real innovation, but also real unknowns, around service quality, parts availability, and how the company handles problems down the line.
The Honest Risk Nobody States Plainly
VLF just entered India through MotoHaus in 2024. The Strada is only their second model here. A strong range claim and interesting spec sheet don’t yet come with years of real owner feedback, the way Hero’s brand does. If you’re risk-averse, this matters more than any number on a spec sheet.
What We Don’t Know Yet
Some details remain unclear as of the Strada’s launch, including exactly how it performs in daily use, long-term reliability, and whether it’s assembled locally in Kolhapur or arrives fully built from China. The Vida VX2, by contrast, is a known quantity with real owner experience already behind it.
Finally
There’s no single right answer here. The Vida VX2 is the safer, proven pick, backed by Hero’s name and a wide service network. The VLF Strada is the bolder pick, with real range and design advantages, but real brand-new-ness too. Choose based on how much you value a track record versus how much you value the numbers on paper.
